Celtic Box Twist Oblique is a modification of the weave Celtic where the single rings of the parallel grain are replaced with box cells at a 45 degree angle (box twist). The Box cells have two different directions the can be twisted. In addition, the Celtic "wing" rings are obliqued.
Like other Celtic based weaves, when put under tension, the wing rings will naturally lean towards each other forming "/\" or ""\/" pairs (depending on which edge you are looking at. How you connect these natural pairs will form a Layered Oblique or a Mirror Oblique, which additionally can directionally alternate down the length of the chain.
You can also manually manipulate the wing rings to pair unnaturally. This is considered an Alternate Oblique and generally requires a larger than usual AR. Other than offsetting the oblique points when compared to a standard oblique, alternate obliques are the same as their non alternate counterparts.
